Unusual Sky Phenomena in Kuching
It will be a news in the newspaper tomorrow.
A unique sky phenomena in Kuching - 11.30am, 22 June.
I'm not very sure how long it lasts, but i spent more than 15mins under the hot sun taking a series of photos, until my face is burning red. Too bad all the photos gave me unexpected outcome. too bright... anyway, it's ok as i'm not professional mar. :)
at noon, it is still there. but after my lunch time 1pm, it was gone.. left the sky so clear, leaving no trace behind.

According to that news, the logic of such phenomenon sounds sth like this :)
"The rainbow did not surround the sun although it looked like it did. It formed quite low in the sky and within the atmosphere, and therefore is known as an atmospheric phenomenon.
A rainbow normally formed opposite the sun when it rained. A full-ring rainbow only occurs when the conditions are right - not too hot, not too cloudy, and there are particles of water or ice in the sky. The rainbow is reflection by these particles."

thanks for giving the explanation on this phenomenon.
i saw my 1st rainbow here 2 days ago. It was beautiful..hopefully the pic i took of it turned out well..
