ok, while everyone is bz with football, let's have sth about badminton...

First of all, Congratulations to Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei! same goes to the Men's Doubles... Lee has successfully win the M'sian Open title for the 3rd time. He beat Lin Dan (CHN) 18-21, 21-18, 23-21. it's a great match! when Li Dan is at his game point, leaving Lee 7 points behind, everyone would have thought Li Dan is winning the game. but Lee has made a miracle effort, from 13-20, to 20-20... n finally finished the game with 23-20! i really salute to Lee!!

honestly at first i was hoping Li Dan would perform well after i met him in person... hahaha... sound like a traitor... but, at the 3rd round, every score that he win troubled me deeply... i started screaming for joy for each score that Lee win instead... of course, i only support China when the opponent is non-M'sian.

i wonder how the mat salleh female players win when they r not physically well-fit, sort of overweight for good acts in the court la... Stacy Hallem of women single and Anderson Britta of mix double.. aduh... bak bak leh... i see all the chinese players r slim n tall... but except for the China mix double, Gao Ling's partner, Zang Jun, short n plump hehe... (i mean compared with other of his team mates) i love to watch Gao Ling in action. She played in the mix double and women double... she is juz so cheerful and happy person, when playing in the court. she laff alot n sometime hopping on her feet when making mistakes... so cute. while all other players look too serious...

ok this one is funny. when he came for a bill, with another fren, i asked "r u a player too?" his fren said, "i'm not, but he is." so end up taking pic with this one, din ask him where he is from cos he is definitely from India from his look. so i thought it would be easy to search in the net when i got home, but still, fail to track him down... alot of the unfamiliar new faces do not have clear images in the net yet... not even in the player profile in IBF website. maybe he is one of them.


so how's the pics... COOL huh~!!! (although I LOOK TINY!)

Until now i'm still not totally wake up leh... the excitement is still there when i think of it. i'm back to a badminton fan like i used to be, after meeting the China players. the M'sia players heard they had their celebration at Holiday Inn... not sure if it's true. i'm surprise the China players dun celebrate together. they come separately in different groups, slightly different times, some having there, some take away... n i'm surprise they came to us!! of course, not recommended by our tour agents lar, cos if they did, they will sure inform us and collect commission... but until now none talk about it, so... it was juz so lucky they chose our stall out of the many. for the famous couple (Lin Dan & Xie XingFang), i think they r the most well known one... the man is world ranking no.1, the lady no.2 + pretty mar... that's y they prefer tapao than sitting there having disturbed by fans like me, asking for photo, signature, shake hand by my customers.

the 1st night as mentioned in my previous post, the couple came, i took their food order. i know they r players but i duno their world ranking (aiyo long time din follow the game liao!). until one of my customer ask for a photo with him, Lin Dan... to make sure i send a quick sms to check with my fren... then i got so shock n so excited but i'm too bz to show that lar... Thu, bz hours some more. i've tried my best to have their food ready at the best speed... Very SPECIAL and SUPER FAST Service liao ok! i push all their orders to the front even though there r so many other customers' orders. but, he is really hard to please... showed me a little of his impatience + frustration look when i hand him their tapao. although unwilling, but i still request to take a photo with them. they din even say Yes, i dun care... juz get my sis out there with her camera phone n snap... they can't wait to get out of there, n my sis oso can't wait to go back get bz with her stuff instead of doing the stpd job for me. since everyone was in a hurry, i juz say thank u and all of us walk off without turning back... muahahaha very impolite of me yeah?!!! i mean, i should have said sth great like 'Ohh thank you so so so much! Hope to see u back again!!', or 'Your game is great! i love to watch u play!', or 'Good luck in your games!', or... well, anymore? i'm not good in socializing with ppl... sometimes it juz turn out unnatural and sound weird... so i prefer shut up. (can see the photo at my previous post)

the 2nd nite, i have my camera ready, fully charged. but they din come. although i din expect much that they may return, i juz dun wan to miss that very little chance. din expect their return cos they seem quite fussy in food, Lin Dan even asked me to have them cooked nicely, else i'm not coming back'... walaooo soo 'xiao cang' arrrr... that's his personality larrr... although still much better than wat is shown in the TV broadcast lah... hehe...

the 3rd nite (Sat), they finally turned up. Father's Day Eve, wat u think? really crowded u know... they owes turn up at the peak hours cos they arrive hotel quite late after the games at stadium. crowded but still i din stop searching for the players' faces from time to time. then i notice Xie XingFang from far, she is very tall mar... so i tried to walk over n so surprise when Lin Dan greeted me, aiyo he is juz few steps in front of me... wat to do, he is not tall, so i din notice him so near haha.. that nite i notice there r other players like Zang Jun (Mix Double Top 1)... i din know all the players yet, so i duno who else r there... but Zang Jun was with a group of others, i think i spot Cheng Hong, others should also be the team mates. anyway, of course it could be their last nite here, who knows, the next day SUN their last day in kch, instead of free activity, their coach may wan to bring them celebrate else where in a more high class restaurant. so i ASK to take another photo. hahaha explaining the photo we took the other nite is blur... he told me it's very crowded, he will still come the following nite. i was thinking that he may be bluffing lar, juz to get rid of a fan... well of course i juz smile n let them go... upset lah..

the 4th day, i watched the TV broadcast of the finals.. adumak.. really 'mo ngan tai'... everyone is talking about it.. how he reacted after he lost to Lee Chong Wei... throwing racket, refuse to wear the medal while on stage, rejecting the souvenior, and throwing the mock cheque after leaving the stage(not shown in tv, but ppl on the spot saw it, even reported in the news)... n juz walk pass when Lee offered to shake hand with him (in the news). walaoooo. not only drop his fame, but also drop the face of whole team of China... i also get very disappointed after witnessing a star player who has been to my stall acted like this, really no sportsmanship.


on the stage, all the time one look left, one look right, must be feeling uneasy, a sec is like an hr, the clock ticked damn slow... imagine wat if that time Lin Dan also refuse to go up the stage!?? or after receiving the last item, leave the stage immediately dun wan to witness the winner receiving his prizes??@#

i've never watched him play before, so i duno how he reacted whenever he lost. maybe this time he has over reacted cos everyone can see, he should NOT have lost the game. he was too near to the winning point. it was a history. unforgetable for both China and M'sian players. of course i was hoping our Lee can beat him, but i dun expect to see LinDan lost in such a way. afterall he is World No.1, AND...... he has been to our stall mar.. ehehe... well, i am actually worried how it would be like in case he turned up that nite after the lost... surprisingly many players did turn up... wah it was a great nite for me! the whole nite i've been bz serving those players, instead of the local customers. hehe, normally i leave the job to other workers or my sis (she speaks good Mandarin with real Chinese slang), but she is too bz for the job, and since i'm a fan, i do it myself, so that they dun reject my request for taking photo. there was one scenario that scared me. while taking the couple order (they came back to the same person for their order), suddenly someone approached and interrupt us:

Customer: Hey, this afternoon you lost to Malaysia arr??
we are all shocked by the remark then look up. it's one of our regular customer (age almost 60)
Lin Dan: (embarrassed, smile only and no hiew)
Customer: aiyooo... Why?? How come you lost? You purposely 'let go' huh??
sound better, at least give Lin Dan a little face.
Lin Dan: (still lazy to hiew him so he smiled again n try to continue with the order)
Customer: (dun give up) Izit? You let go huh??? huh??
Lin Dan: ya ya ya... (simply give him an easy answer hoping he will leave)

then i din catch the rest of the conversation cos i was bz talking with Xie XingFang for their orders. shortly Lin Dan concentrate on the order again after getting rid of the customer.. i juz smile n dare not say a thing. actually he was frenly enuf that nite when giving their orders. 1st nite is like a proud lad, cold like ice, very strict n i catch not a frenly smile on their faces. 2nd nite better only... 3rd nite is the best (although lost the final). cos.. he did smile a little in the photo we take (seem so hard for him to do it)... n bent a little closer for the photo of his fan... *happy* :D

anyway, there's an exclusive review for u, about Lin Dan's favourite order...

1) Grill Lobster/Fresh Water Prawns with separate butter sauce

2) Crab in Chili Sauce with Egg (more spicy, less sweet)

i know they may sound nothing so special.. but he gave the same order for three nites! of course they order other vege too... i'm surprise they order two vege with belacan tonite, the nites before they prefer lighter flavour like garlic or oyster sauce. they dun want belacan when i recommend.

so, finally the tournament came to an end. glad the event is held in kch... I used to be a great badminton fan, although i dun play. :) i used to collect photos n newspaper cuttings of our players, only during those glamour time for M'sian, and Indonesian players... after that i'm left so far behind the update, din even bother to know more.. (until the tournament now, omg i dun even know we still have a world ranking no.2 in our badminton team) hehe... recalling back the old time, the most memorable one was, when my fren n i joined in the crowd at the college canteen looking on the final between Hafiz & Peter Gade at the All England year 2003, i think... wow that's really a long long time ago... but it was great. cheering with the crowds... i can imagine those guys out there who did the same for the Worldcup... they r more crazy i'm sure. luckily i know nothing about football, or soccer.. haha... why hor?

1st reason, no money to bet... so dun bother who win.

2nd reason, since Proton M'sia Open Badminton Championship is in kch, bz surfing to make myself familiar with the faces of the international players, juz in case i duno when they r in front of me at Top Spot.

3rd reason, football is too complicated... too many countries duno which to support. unlike badminton, the focus is alwes on the same countries like M'sia, China, Indon, Korean & Denmark. (eii wat happen to Indon? y din send their top seeds here for the M'sia open? i din read newspaper everyday so not so update ler.)

4th reason, nobody update me about the lengcai in the football team, so not so eager to watch it... afterall gals r still gals... most of them watch football becos of leng cai only marr... ;)
