Pulau Manukan

have been really bz n lazy lately... lazy to edit pictures, and bz shopping coz too many dinners to attend the past two weeks. now finally it's over. as a result, i'm now dead broke, and it's only mid of the mth... *sigh*

anyway back to my KK trip, not much to blog about as it has become quite stale... but, there r lotsa pics...

Here's where we paid the transportation fee. RM35 per head if i din forget.



we depart at 10.30 and returned at 1. it was a very short stay iznt it...



here's a snap of the sea view on the way to the island. can see the 3 islands from the distance. the 1st one from the right is the island we were heading. the speed boat was really fast, the wind almost flew off our hats. it took us only 15-20 minutes to reach the island.

so here we are.

dun have to bring along the bulky beach mat then.. since it's available at such reasonable rate.

the beach...



alot of the visitors went for snorkelling. initially that's sth i dun wana miss out in the trip.


but the water is so clear. it was fun enuf to walk into the water playing chasing with the fishes. haha... anyway, din get to walk far to the sea. only manage to go as far as the water reach above my knee. dun wana get my short wet. din bring any spare one.


this is the very 1st sea creature i come across when i'm about to step into water. a sea cucumber! never see one in red before. n of course, it's still alive. we helped it back into the water using a stick. wish i can touch it but, juz dun wan to take risk as it may be poisonous.


shortly after, we then realize the sea cucumbers r everywhere. so we have to be really careful stepping among the stones in the water. coz if we r not careful, we may step onto them, or some other creatures.

not sure wat this is, but it seem to be a very tiny star fish.

we move on to the other side of the beach. the scenery is much better but it's quite deserted.


i found this broken glass near my feet. gosh... gotta be really careful when walking barefooted on the sand. there r always irresponsible visitors around.


din spot any beautiful sea shells, but there r many nice stones on the beach.





i was bz searching for foreigners in sexy bikini. afterall, it dun quite seem like a beach vacation if i dun snap any bikini photo. but this is all i've got. :>

Ooops... i've actually taken two stones with me from the island. the stones holding in the palm as shown in the pic. nice huh? they r now in my bro's aquarium at home. :D

Going back to the jetty.



fishes, sea cucumber, jellyfish or star fish, they all can be found near the shore. i wonder wat different creatures they can see when they go snorkelling, beside those black coral or sea urchins?

while waiting... enjoy feeding the fish, with their toes!


and look at the blue fish stand out from the rest, with a very sharp pointing front like a swordfish. it must be at least 3 feet long.

we did not wait too long to go onboard and return to the city.

Back to the resort.


one of the workers recognize us among the visitors boarding the boat that morning. was surprised to see us back so soon. well, we did not go snorkelling, swimming, and we din bring any food.. that's y we return quite fast... coz we are really hungry!
